Building the Road

new_facility_DC_filter_capacitors_590_200Now that the turkey has settled, and the gravy has cleared, we are back to work. We have recently received a first round draft of our environmental assessment for the new DC link filter capacitors manufacturing plant from the Department of Energy and continue to add employees and order new equipment.

For the past two months, the Town of Barre has also been working diligently to keep up with their commitment of extending the roadway and utilities to the site of our new facility on Parker Road in the Wilson Industrial Park. This extension project is part of the $380,000 that the town has committed to our new facility project in the form of matching funds for our $9.1 million Department of Energy grant.

As of now the town has completed both the preliminary gravel road construction and waterline extension. And the town continues to keep making progress as we draw farther into the cool northern winter months. All things assured, the progress that has been made will ensure that as soon as the sun returns in spring we will be ready to start the building construction. We are looking forward to putting our own shovels in the ground!
