SBE Featured in Wireless Charging at CES 2011

The wireless charging system Fulton Innovation had on display at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV, gathered great industry interest. There a Tesla EV Roadster was being charged wirelessly using Fulton’s eCoupled intelligent wireless powerTM technology.

The parts, designed using SBE’s industry-leading simulation tools, were developed jointly with Fulton and are essential to enable the wireless charging system to work correctly.  One of the Fulton engineers who worked on the program commented: “This is a very challenging application. No other capacitor we tried would work. They would all fail by either blowing up or smoking”.
